Human Comprehension in Intelligent Space

Abstract The Intelligent Space is an environmental platform that enables to support human. The Intelligent Space offers many useful supports for human, such as baggage carrying, guidance of the way, security guard of the room and etc. In order to support human, it should understand what is happening in the room first. Sensing device is an important element in the Intelligent Space. A human position tracking system using vision-based sensors with some artificial inference has been developed. In this paper, the stereovision system that is capable of tracking the 3D movements of human in real time is described and experimental results obtained in a real-world environment are shown.
