A Novel Single Channel Radiometer System Using DBF Technique

In this paper, a single channel radiometer system using the digital beam forming(DBF) technique is described. The system can reduce the quantity of receiver channels greatly through the use of a novel antenna array. The system operates in the Ka-band. An eight-element array model is built. System architecture, hardware, antenna calibration method, and signal processing, are also discussed in this paper. The simulating results show that this system performance is feasible.
