Enhanced End-to-End Delay Guarantee with ADRR Scheduler

The demands of delay-sensitive applications are increasing. There are many factors which affect end-to-end delay, but it can be said that the most important factor is not only a network scheduler, but also a delay apportionment policy. In this paper we propose DYNAMIC delay apportionment policy which is allocating delay to nodes proportional to link load status, and simulate it with ADRR scheduler which is able to guarantee absolute end-to-end delay. In addition, we compared DYNAMIC delay apportionment policy with EVEN delay apportionment policy. As a result, we can see the performance enhancement of ADRR scheduler with DYNAMIC delay apportionment policy in terms of end-to-end delay and throughput
