In this study, primary experiment was conducted to validate the principle of MAT-MI.Different geometrical models were designed corresponding to the models, phantoms of copper coil were manufactured with the shape of circle, rectangle, triangle, respectively. In the experiment, the phantoms were placed in a static magnetic field while microsecond sine pulse stimulations were imposed on the coils, and thus, acoustic responses signal was generated by magneto-acoustic effect, meanwhile acoustic signals were detected by the transducer with a central frequency of 1 MHz.Then, acoustic signal from different positions, different angle was detected and analyzed. The experiments show that the acoustic signal can reflect the conductivity boundaries of the sample.Furthermore, experiments may be designed to image the electric conductivity of the objects based on magneto-acoustic coupling effect.
