Apparatus and method for controlling group setting in device-to-device communication

PURPOSE: A device for controlling group setting for inter-terminal direct communication and a method thereof are provided to perform D2D group session management as a network entity is in charge of the group session management of D2D group communication. CONSTITUTION: A transceiving unit(510) receives a D2D group service request or a D2D group communication sensing report. A D2D session information generating unit(530) generates D2D group session information. A control unit(520) controls the D2D session information generating unit to generate the D2D session information in response to the D2D group service request or the D2D group communication sensing report. The control unit determines the success of D2D group session setting. The control unit generates at least one of a D2D group service response message and a D2D group service starting message.
