Population Spatial Change and Urban Spatial Restructuring in Shanghai since the 1990s

With fast social economy development,spatial distribution of population in Shanghai has changed sharply,and turned be incongruous with industry develop- ment.This has brought a lot of social economy questions such as traffic,house, environment and others.For this reason,the paper proposed the concept of com- muter zone and redistricted urban space of Shanghai to describe the contact of cen- tric district to suburb district,guide population distribution,optimize urban location function,and form a rational urban spatial structure in conformity with social econ- omy development.
