Moving sound source identification based on statistically optimized near field acoustical holography using vector hydrophone array measurements

A moving sound source identification method was proposed, based on near field acoustical holography using vector hydrophone array measurements. The intention was to overcome limitations of the traditional near-field acoustic holography(NAH) technique when analyzing vibrations and sound fields of underwater structures.Based on a statistically optimized NAH,a moving sound source identification method was developed using sound pressure and particle velocity measurements. The results of experiments proved the validity of the method. This method may be useful for continuous scanning measurements,as it can scan the microphone array for vibrations and sound fields of underwater structures. The complicated measurement setup and the time-consuming measurement procedures needed for scanning the microphone array were solved step by step.
