A mixed integer linear programming model for automobile order promising

It is necessary to develop a mechanism for improving the order promising accuracy, reliable, and on-time delivery in the increasing competitive automobile industry. In this paper, firstly, the relative literatures of order promising are reviewed. Secondly, the process of allocating the vehicle, components and capacity to customer orders is analyzed. Thirdly, a mathematical formulation is presented based on previous works. Fourthly, a bus company case is studied; it proved the model is better than simply rule. Finally, we conclude this endeavor and point the further studies.
