A turn in the linguistic approach

Abstract The article opens with a survey of developments in Translation Studies in terms of models and approaches. It argues that the linguistic approach took a functional turn in 1990, which points to prospective research paradigms. The article elaborates on various aspects of these paradigms: methodology, procedures, and research material (corpora).
