Hand Tremor Analysis Using Rigid Body Manipulation in a Dynamic Virtual Haptic Environment

We have developed a dynamic virtual haptic environment consisting of a rigid body for analysing hand tremors. The subject performs the task of moving an object along a designated path from one location to another in a virtual 3D environment using a haptic device. The velocity of the hand motion is collected by the haptic device during the task. This velocity data is later processed for tremor analysis. We further explore the effect of mass of the object in the virtual environment on tremor frequency and amplitude.
