Mechanical Behaviour of Super Long-Span Cable-Stayed Bridge Being Constructed

The structural response of a cable-stayed bridge being constructed is characteristic of typical time and space variations. However, little concern has been paid currently to the time history, time and space envelope of the response. In his paper,a refined geometric nonlinearity model is established to analyze the mechanical behavior of Sutong Bridge at construction stage,a cable-stayed bridge with a main span 1 088 m,in which the increment, time history, time and space envelope and dead load of the response are included. The results of the analysis and study herewith are helpful to the structural design and construction control of long-span cable-stayed bridges.
