TRANSFORMATION OF CO-ORDINATES BETWEEN GEODETIC SYSTEMS

AbstractPresent formulae for transformation of latitude, longitude, and geoid height between ellipsoids and datums are either not sufficiently accurate for geodetic work or so complex as to be suitable only for use with electronic computers. This paper proposes a differential formula which combines simplicity with sufficient rigor and which can be worked with the aid of a desk calculator and six-figure tables of sines and cosines.
