PRODUCT INNOVATION DRIVEN BY CONSTRUCTIVE MODEL OF UNEXPECTED DISCOVERIES FOR SITUATED COGNITION OF FUNCTION-BEHAVIOUR-STRUCTURE

Design of the descriptive and the situated methods are analyzed.Unexpected discovery(UXD)is a design method of scientific cognation which drives product innovation.Pro- duce innovation design is made to seek UXD in the situ- ated-analogy design process.The function-behaviour-structure (FBS)model and the UXD analyzing module are set up using the purposive combination of situated-design and some design- ing modes,which required product innovation.The outcome of FBS and UXD is influenced by a situated and a non-situated design.It is testified the situated analogy case of product inno- vation design is feasible between a tap and a door.
