Another parameter representing QoS gain of MIMO systems

Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) is a popular technology in wireless communications recently because it can take advantage of multipath and turn it into advantage. There have heen a lot of results about the gains that MlMO can achieve in terms of SNR gain and capacity gain. In the literature, SNR is the only parameter exploited to represent the Quality of Service (QoS) gain of MIMO over SISO systems. But we found out that t is notLenongh to present the QoS gain of MlMO systems. We introduce a Rician R factor gain of MIMO systems over SISO systems in order to make the parameters representing QoS complete. And we give the Rician K gain of three MIMO technologies by simulations. These results form the necessary database to make efficient use of MlMO systems.
