A comparative study of migration algorithms for UWB GPR images in SISO-SAR and MIMO-array configurations

In this paper, the emerging multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)-array configuration, where the transmitters and the receivers are correlated, is introduced for ultra-wideband (UWB) ground penetrating radar (GPR) imaging and compared with conventional single-input single-output (SISO)-synthetic array radar (SAR) imaging configuration, where each pair of sensors works independently. Several migration algorithms are studied and compared for both UWB SISO-SAR GPR and UWB MIMO-Array GPR configurations. The comparison study is based on six sets of realistic simulation results and analysis.
