Process for reception with emergence of ambiguity for a towed linear acoustic antenna

The invention relates to methods which remove the ambiguity which generally exists in the reception signals of towed acoustic linear antennas (402). It consists in having the antenna follow a purposely deformed trajectory (101) and in forming the reception channels while taking into account said deformation. In those conditions, said channels are deformed to present a main beam (701) and secondary beams (702) which are attenuated with respect to the main beam, so as to remove the reception ambiguity. The invention improves the detection of the positioning of sources of echoes received by such towed acoustic linear antenna.
