LTE-R Network Optimization Analysis Method Based on Big Data Technology

To ensure the trouble-free operation of 20 thousand tons heavy haul train, Shuohuang railway company has established the first communication network based on LTE technology in the world to support railway business. Therefore, to ensure the safety of the train operation, it is necessary to maintain the LTE-R network on schedule and optimize the network according to the communication and maintenance data. But, the amount of LTE-R network operation and maintenance data is huge. Currently, most of the analysis work is done by manual analysis, so the efficiency is very low. The traditional data storage and processing methods are also difficult to meet the needs. In view of this situation, this paper comprehensively analyzes several common problems in the network optimization. After combining the actual situation of the railway industry, we propose an optimization analysis method suitable for LTE-R network. At the same time, the problems of the storage and efficient processing of huge amount of data are solved by using big data technologies such as HDFS and Spark. Finally, to facilitate on-site staff to make decisions, the results are displayed on the GIS system. The practical application shows that the method in this paper greatly improves the efficiency of operation and maintenance of LTE-R network of Shuohuang railway company and it has a high practical value.
