A Study of FDTD Parallel Algorithm for Anisotropic Media with Dyadic Permittivity and Permeability

A three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) parallel algorithm for an anisotropic media(ANI-FDTD parallel algorithm) is presented,with dyadic permittivity and permeability on a distributed network by using the message passing module.According to the FDTD formulation of anisotropic medium,28 nodes are involved when the electric or magnetic field component at one node is calculated.The FDTD iterative computation at each sub-domain can be progressing successfully providing the field component values of interrelated nodes near the sub-domain interface communicate appropriately.The distribution of 28 related nodes is indicated and the way of message passing for field components between sub-domains in ANI-FDTD parallel computing are analyzed in details.The numerical results show the feasibility of presented scheme.
