Modeling of Vehicle Dynamics using Matrix-Vector Oriented Calculation in Matlab.

CAINE 1996, pp 115-120. ISCA, Orlando FL, Dec. 1996 Modeling of a 19-degree of freedom, 4-wheel vehicle dynamics is presented. The equations of the model hold for suspension, tire slip, wheel and body dynamics of the vehicle. Attention was given to the matrixvector oriented calculations in MATLAB . This approach results in a more efficient simulation program that runs much faster and reads more clearly than programs without it. Moreover, the compact matrixvector model can readily be extended to include the dynamics of additional wheels for the vehicle by simply increasing the size of appropriate matrices in the equations. The equations were tested using a high performance graphic computer. Application of the simulation is also discussed
