A Metrical Analysis of Primary Stress Placement in Southern East Cree

L'A. presente une analyse metrique du systeme d'assignation de l'accent primaire dans un sous-dialecte de la langue cree : le cree du sud-est. Ce dialecte est considere comme une langue a sensibilite quantitative (Quantity Sensitive language) : les regles d'assignation de l'accent sont sensibles au poids syllabique tel que seule la syllabe lourde attire l'accent. L'A. montre que la place de l'accent est directement liee au fait que les syllabes sont regroupees en pieds binaires. De plus, le cree du sud-est presente des pieds iambiques : un pied est constitue d'une syllabe accentuee suivie d'une syllabe non-accentuee
