Research of Synchronization Robustness in Video Digital Watermarking

Most of attacks in video digital watermarking are synchronization attacks. They can be classified as temporal and spacial synchronization attacks after characteristics of video digital watermarking are analyzed. Then synchronization robustness can be divided into inter-frame robustness and intra-frame robustness according to classifications of synchronization attacks in video digital watermarking, and the former is a prerequisite for the latter. This research is a theoretical guidance for designing highly robust video digital watermarking algorithms against synchronization attacks. Enhancement of robustness can be done according to this research. At last, a new video digital watermarking algorithm was proposed with high synchronization robustness based on random frames, which validated this research.
