Automatic generation of application specific fuzzy controllers for rapid-prototyping

Automatic generation of application specific fuzzy controllers from a description in an user friendly high level language is successfully implemented and tested with a real world application. The compiler FUZ2LCA generates net listings to be down loaded for FPGAs for rapid prototyping. Several new aspects in designing hardware for fuzzy systems are discussed giving more emphasis to the storing membership functions and the defuzzification.<<ETX>>
