A Subsidence Monitoring Project Using a Polarimetric GB-SAR Sensor

In this paper, the subsidence monitoring activity that the Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSLab) of the Technical University of Catalonia is carrying out in the village of Sallent in the center of Catalonia (Spain) is presented. Polarimetric data have been monthly acquired since June 2006 using a groundbased SAR sensor at X-Band. A detailed description of the deformation phenomenon and of the on-going polarimetric measuring campaign is here given. Finally, first results of polarimetric analysis are discussed.
