A high speed failure notification and failure location guiding system of multichannel optical lines using a smartphone and methods thereof

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a system and a method for notifying a technician located at a location close to a failure location of the failure location and accurately guiding the technician to the failure location, compared to a conventional optical line failure notification system. In order to achieve the above purpose, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a system for guiding a technician to the failure location of a plurality of optical lines connecting an optical line terminal (OLT) to optical network terminals (ONT) is disclosed. The system includes: a remote test unit (RTU) for making an optical pulse enter a plurality of optical lines to identify an optical line where failure occurs, and a failure location; a management server for controlling the RTU; and a plurality of portable electronic devices for receiving a failure location from the management server. The management server identifies an optical line where failure occurs, and a failure location using the RTU, selects a portable electronic device closest to the failure location among the portable electronic devices, and displays, on the selected portable electronic device, the location of the selected portable electronic device and the failure location on the form of map, thereby guiding a technician having the selected portable electronic device to the failure location such that the technician finds the failure location.
