Dynamic Petri nets and their applications

In this paper a modeling tool based on Petri nets is introduced. This tool is a generalization of the classical Petri nets. It introduces the idea of having a dynamic structure. The structure of the net (i.e. the incidence matrix) can be changed dynamically via external control. A systematic study is done to give the conditions required to keep the initial properties of the net even in presence of external control. A discussion about the fields of applications of such a tool is made.<<ETX>>
