Energy efficient hard decision fusion rules for fading and non-fading environment

Cooperative spectrum sensing applied with energy efficiency will enhance the spectrum utilization and transmission of data through the efficient power requirement. To improve the energy efficiency, number of secondary users is a major factor under consideration. Efficient hard decision fusion rule in frequency flat fading environment is proposed. Simulation results show that k-out-of-n rule surpasses AND rule and OR rule for energy efficiency and number of secondary users.
