Solving the 3D Localization Problem for Feature Agents

Abstract A feature-agent based Design and Manufacture System is described. A particular problem associated with agent software, that of assigning spatial locality to agents and allowing inter-agent communication based on that locality is discussed. A solution utilizing Beliefs-Desires-Intentions (BDI) agents is described.
