Shifts in restrictive government policies such as those that promote computer science and literacy to comprehensive unrestricted policies to increase effective use of computer-based training and learning across the curriculum are becoming common in decisions on the development of informatics. Policies related to informatics are often a response to pressures outside education. Educational authorities recognize that information technology has become an important lever in modernizing education, with pilot projects and centralized decision-making playing important roles. One key to the success of informatics development in education is proper teacher training.
