Interdependence between rolling mill vibrations and the plastic deformation process

Abstract In this paper a concept of a mathematical model of a rolling mill and of the rolling process is presented. An innovation of the work is that of taking into account the forcing load functions, which latter include the interdependence between the vibrations of the rolling mill and the phenomena in the roll-gap during the plastic deformation of the metal. This model has been applied successfully to analyses of the dynamic phenomena in the rolling mill with asymmetrical parameters of the stiffness of the drive of the work rolls.
