A Study of Clinical Practice

The following study of student development in clinical practice is based upon experience in the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, a psychiatric teaching hospital where eleven to fifteen occupational therapists, in the setting of multidisciplinary teams, are acting as clinical supervisors in their own right. As occupational therapy tutor employed by this hospital, I have had the objectivity and opportunity, to undertake this study and have been fortunate in having the full co-operation of enthusiastic and hard working clinical supervisors.
