ANALISIS KINERJA WIRELESS PROTOCOL 802.11 DAN NSTREME VERSION 2(NV2) PADA WIRELESS MIKROTIK

Today's modern era, quality will be the speed in terms of data transfer is a matter to note, this is related to the many needs for data transfer for maximum results in data transfer desired by the users. The widely used wireless protocol is 802.11. Mikrotik developed the NV2 protocol to reduce the hidden nodes, reducing the overhead delay delay thus increasing throughput. To know the existence of differences of protocol conducted by this research, so that available comparison of performance in both protocol. Protocol analysis to compare QoS performance between protocols on mikrotik wireless routerboard.. Using quality networking methods analyzed with QoS using the parameters throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss, testing network performance analysis of 802.11 and NV2 protocols applied to TIPHON standards to determine the quality of the analysis results when the network conditions are quiet and crowded on each - protocols. The results of the performance analysis on the 802.11 wireless protocol in a crowded and quiet network condition obtained an average throughput value of 0.16745 Megabit / second, whereas in NV2 wireless protocols of 0.22615 Megabit/second, the throughput value in the NV2 protocol got a larger average value 802.11. The average delay value of the 802.11 wireless protocol of 63.4863 ms according to the TIPHON standard is very good, while in the NV2 protocol it gets an average value of 82.8475 ms that value is very good. The average value of jitter on 802.11 and NV2 protocols is equal to 0 ms, the value according to TIPHON standard is very good. The average value of 802.11 packet loss protocol is 0.465% while NV2 is 0.685%, the packet loss value in both protocols according to TIPHON standard is very good. In the NV2 protocol the throughput value is greater in quiet or crowded conditions, although not significantly.
