Transient Voltage Stability Analysis of Differential-algebra Equation in Power System

In power systems, transient voltage instability accident happened occasionally,to which engineers have already paid much attention. However, the existed methods for analyzing transient voltage stability have some shortcomings. The problem of transient voltage stability was concerned by using the time domain simulation, energy function method and singularity induced bifurcation (SIB) theory,in order to estimate transient voltage stability of post-fault power systems rapidly,so that the novel control methods are adopted in time to prevent power systems from voltage collapse. Firstly, the differential-algebra equation (DAE) models and its impasse were discussed, the energy function method with network structure preserving model was analyzed. Secondly, based on the method, the transient voltage instability was estimated through the means of SIB. Finally, simulation results performed on a simple system showed that the effects of load model for transient voltage stability.
