Analysis of Circular Spiral Inductors on CMOS Substrates

A physics-based, fast model is presented for circular spiral inductors on low-resistivity CMOS substrates. Good agreement with exper­ imental data is demonstrated. The model al­ lows us to analyse the relative contribution of capacitive and eddy-current substrate losses.
