Interactions between bovine -chymotrypsin and the protease inhibitors of human and dog serum in vitro.

With due allowance for the concentration of the inhibitors in serum bovine α-chymotrypsin showed a greater relative affinity for α1-antitrypsin or a lower affinity for α2-macroglobulin than bovine trypsin. No complexation could be demonstrated between human α1-antichymotrypsin and bovine chymotrypsin until serum was more than half-saturated with the enzyme.
