Method and apparatus for detecting a preload in a stop-down device of a rotor of an aircraft tiltrotor

This invention relates to a method and apparatus for detecting the preload between a first member (31) secured to a set of tilt rotor and a second member (111) of a wing of a tiltrotor aircraft, when the rotor assembly tilting is in airplane mode, the rotor assembly tilting being controlled by an actuator conversion.Cet aircraft comprises a stop assembly downwardly characterized in that the actuator creates a force between the two elements (31, 111) such that all the stopping down is deformed and a selected preload is produced between the set of tilt rotor and the or wings, and in that the stop assembly comprises at least one sensor module (161) for detecting the deformation of the stop assembly and generating a corresponding signal, and at least one microprocessor connected to or sensor modules (161) for interpreting the signal, the microprocessor processing said signal and sending a control signal to the or to the actuators to cause the one or more actuators to increase strength if the strength is less than the selected precharge or decreasing force if this force exceeds the preset preload.
