An Efficient Continuous Range Query Processing Method for Mobile P2P Network Environments

With the development of mobile devices, P2P services have been studied to solve the problems of client-server architectures. In this paper, we propose an efficient continuous range query processing method for mobile P2P network environments. The proposed method consists of two phases. The first phase is a query distribution in which the query peer distributes the query to neighbor peers. The second phase is a result update. The peers receiving the query compute and monitor the results of range queries. Because the proposed method computes the update time in advance, it updates the result of a range query efficiently. In order to show the efficiency of the proposed method, it is compared with the existing method.
