Research on the Key Technologies of Asynchronous Circuit Design Based on Petri Net

This paper presents a model of asynchronous circuit by using Petri net method.Petri Net is an important tool for modeling asynchronous and subsequent events.The asynchronous circuit represented by asynchronous processor is increasingly concerned for its advantage in solving clock skew and reducing power consum.A major problem is the absence of mature asynchronous CAD tools to support the asynchronous design style.Based on the STG(signal transform graph),a Petri model of an asynchronous controller is established,simulated and implemented.At last a FIFO design is implemented by this way.Through standard time simulation,the result shows that it can design the asynchronous circuit efficiently.
