<jats:p>In this paper, we give a concept of <jats:inline-formula> <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M3"> <msub> <mrow> <mfenced open="(" close=")"> <mrow> <mi>η</mi> <mo>,</mo> <mi>γ</mi> </mrow> </mfenced> </mrow> <mrow> <mfenced open="(" close=")"> <mrow> <mi>f</mi> <mo>,</mo> <mi>g</mi> </mrow> </mfenced> </mrow> </msub> </math> </jats:inline-formula>-contraction in the setting of expanded <jats:inline-formula> <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M4"> <mi mathvariant="fraktur">b</mi> </math> </jats:inline-formula>–metric spaces and discuss the existence and uniqueness of a common fixed point. Introduced results generalize well-known fixed point theorems on contraction conditions and in the given spaces.</jats:p>
