An Universal Inverter based on SA4828 Controlled by Single-chip Computer

In this paper,a universal PWM inverter for 1～3 phase AC drives or AC/DC/AC power conversion systems is introduced.The control system is based on the dedicated PWM generating chip SA4828 and PIC16F87X single-chip computer.The PIC16F87X has single byte instructions and FLASH program memory which can be programmed and debugged online. Through simple software programming,the symmetric 1,2 or 3-phase PWM signals can be output to control the inverter for different applications. The experimental results of a prototype show the feasibility of the proposed universal inverter.
