The CoMo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst mainly exhibited demethylation and isomerization, rather than hydrogenation or hydrodeoxygenation behaviour, even at very high anisole conversions. The proposed LHHW kinetic model with dissociative hydrogen adsorption followed by consecutive H-addition is capable in predicting the experimental trends with statistical significant and physical relevant parameters. Alternative catalysts will be explored to enhance our understanding of the determining catalyst features for the isomerization versus hydrogenation/hydrodeoxygenation selectivity. 18 experiments performed at High-Throughput Kinetic setup (PFR) on a non-sulphided 15wt.%Co-3.8wt.%Mo/γ-Al2O3
