Microkinetics assisted analysis of hydrotreating selectivities in fast pyrolysis oil upgrading

 The CoMo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst mainly exhibited demethylation and isomerization, rather than hydrogenation or hydrodeoxygenation behaviour, even at very high anisole conversions.  The proposed LHHW kinetic model with dissociative hydrogen adsorption followed by consecutive H-addition is capable in predicting the experimental trends with statistical significant and physical relevant parameters.  Alternative catalysts will be explored to enhance our understanding of the determining catalyst features for the isomerization versus hydrogenation/hydrodeoxygenation selectivity. 18 experiments performed at High-Throughput Kinetic setup (PFR) on a non-sulphided 15wt.%Co-3.8wt.%Mo/γ-Al2O3
