A New Design of a "Water container" Type Sonar PTZ

A PTZ is necessary for expanding the detection range of the Forward Looking Sonar to enable it to swing at a certain angle pitch,which is installed on autonomous oceanographic cutter.When this cutter sails at its dispatching speed of 20kn,the sonar bears a large hydraulic resistance,which led up to the Transmission can not meet the design requirements.Based on the incompressibility of water,a new idea called "water container"is put forward to reduce the hydraulic resistance witch and is analyzed using the CFD software of Fluent.When without a "water container",the results of numerical analysis coincide with theoretical arithmetic,and as the sonar in the"water container",the hydraulic resistance reduces significantly,and eliminates the effects on the transmission when the cutter sails at a high speed.
