Dam information system on the plateform of 3-D GIS based on nonlinear numerical analysis

A dam information system for facilitating safety evaluation and working state monitoring is developed.This system evaluates the safety of dam and its foundation based on the comprehensive results of nonlinear FEM analyses and uses the 3_D GIS as a plateform.The design idea,the structure of database for FEM analysis results and the linkage of the database with the 3_D GIS are presented.A primary version of the system is applied to monitor and evaluate the safety of the dam in Geheyan Project.
