Two-branch channelized N-path filter for reconfigurable receiver

In this paper, an integrated RF differential channelized active bandpass filter is presented. The proposed filter architecture is implemented with two tunable bandpass N-path filters that are arranged in parallel to create one upper-stopband transmission zero that allows to increase the selectivity in the overall filtering transfer function. The channelized bandpass filter can be frequency tuned from 0.2 GHz to 1 GHz (i.e., 5-to-1 tuning range). The gain, noise figure (NF), and channel bandwidth of the filter are around 21 dB, 4.7 dB, and 6 MHz, respectively. The circuit has been designed with 0.25 μm BiCMOS process of NXP technology using Cadence SpectreRF circuit simulator.
