Integração da Estereoscopia à Mecânica dos Jogos

Stereoscopy is one of the main visual features that the human brain has available to identify the depth of objects. Many times this feature was used in games, although in a limited way, aiming for visual enhancement. This paper proposes a more intense and integrated utilization of stereoscopy into games’ mechanics. A theoretical research of stereoscopy application in games over the time is presented to motivate discussion, with the proposal to use stereoscopy heavily integrated to games’ mechanics following after that. Finally, the development and tests of the prototype that represents a proof of concept for the proposed approach are detailed.
