The Progress and Developing Trend of Rural Micro-hydropower Stations

Micro hydropower is an economic,convenient and environment-friendly renewable energy.However,due to the shortage of research funds and the scale effect,micro hydropower has low efficiency and development ratio.Because of the fact that the micro hydropower distribution is consistent with the rural power requirements,we draw a conclusion that it is essential to explore micro hydropower.This paper also introduces some research progresses in independent intellectual property rights in the 11th five-year plan: the index system of feasibility evaluation and comprehensive economic benefit analyses,the household assembled water diversion system,optimal design and spectrum of micro turbine,planning and information management decision support systems,as well as integrated unit.The said research improves the efficiency of the unit and develops the micro hydropower technology.By an analysis of the natural complementation of wind,solar and hydropower,it can be seen that joint exploration and pumped-storage station are important measures to improve service reliability.
