Plan Agregado de Producción Mediante el Uso de un Algoritmo de Programación Lineal: Un caso de Estudio para la Pequeña Industria

The manufacturing industries are seeking ways to efficiently plan their production in order to optimize their resources, for it has several planning techniques and tools, both traditional solution method , as the linear programming . The case study presented is the type of business the leather tanning industry , conducted in the Ecuadorian company Curtidos Salazar in which an aggregate production planning solution was applied comparing the three models of traditional plans with linear programming model developed by Hansmann , F. and Hess , which has been solved by the Lingo optimization tool . The results generate the conclusion that the linear programming method is more efficient because it optimizes the costs in relation to the traditional solution of the models related to the workforce, inventory and demand, maintaining a steady workforce, recruitment, temporary layoffs and with variation of inventory for peak periods of demand.
