Framework for Self-adaptation and Decision-Making of Smart Objects

The Internet of Things (IoT) is at the heart of all modern technological developments. In fact, the number of connected objects doubles approximately every three years and in the long term, it is very likely that there will be digital in every object in our daily lives. Nowadays, we even talk about Internet of Everything (IoE) and we consider the interactions between different objects and those between the objects and persons. However, these connected objects cannot adapt their behavior to users activities and preferences. Relative to that contest, the contribution of this work consists in allowing objects connected in an IoT environment to be smarter and personalized to the needs and state of the user and other objects around them. More precisely, the idea is to add the aspect of self-adaptation and decision-making in the existing connected objects. We propose in this paper a framework for self-adaptation and decision making of smart objects called SADM-SmratObjects. This framework is applied on a case study of crisis management.
