O331 the basis of engineering practice, an optimal allocation method for distribution automation terminals for distribution network in mountain area is proposed. Considering the network structure, load distribution, communication condition, comprehensive cost and reliability demand, different construction modes of distribution automation in mountain area are put forward. The optimization model with minimum cost as objective function is established, and the number and location of distribution automation terminals with different construction modes are obtained with genetic algorithm. The calculation results show that the optimal allocation scheme of distribution automation terminals can be obtained in different construction modes of distribution automation, where economy and reliability will be both considered in the calculation.
