ANALISIS PERFORMANSI DAN SIMULASI PROTOKOL ZRP (ZONE ROUTING PROTOCOL) PADA MANET (MOBILE AD HOC NETWORK) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN NS-2

The era of communication now has undergone development in the era of mobile devices. The main purpose of the move is to provide convenience for the users to communicate and exchange data easily whenever required. However, in general, it takes a network infrastructure that supports these devices communicate with each other and exchange data between one another. While the condition often occurs when the user moves the device to meet the conditions without the support of network infrastructure that can be used. To overcome these problems, it is developing MANET technologies is the development of Ad Hoc networking technologies (wireless networks without infrastructure). In the MANET network each node has an equal footing, for it then takes a routing protocol to regulate the exchange of data between nodes, so it can run properly. ZRP is a hybrid type of protocol in the MANET network, which is a combination of proactive and reactive protocol type. At this final is doing for performance testing and simulation of routing protocol ZRP on MANET network by calculating the value of the performance parameters / Quality Of Service that are throughput, delay, PDR (Packet Delivery Ratio) based on the number of nodes contained in the network by using Network Simulator 2 (NS2). For the simulated number of nodes is 10, 20, 50, 100 nodes, with no discuss on security matters node network and hardware used. From the results of tests and simulations have been conducted, found that the throughput values are the lowest numbered node on the network with 100 nodes is equal to 34.5702 Kbps and the highest found in a network with node number 10, which amounted to 727.081 Kbps. While the average delay lows are in the network with 10 nodes is equal to 0.606597 s and the highest on the network with 100 nodes, with the average delay of 2.00939 s. For the PDR value of the test results that have been done, the value contained in the PDR of the largest network with as many as 10 nodes, amounting to 80.439% and the smallest value in a network with 100 nodes, that is equal to 71.6509%. From the test results that have been done, the Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) on the routing protocol ZRP is not much affected on increasing the number of nodes, is due to the role of the IARP protocol and routing protocol ZRP IERP in, but it is also due to the application of zoning on the routing protocol ZRP which led to more secure data transmission, although the impact on delivery times become longer.
