Characteristics of periodic acoustic-surface-wave grating filters

Periodic surface-wave gratings may be used for the implentation of narrow-bandwidth filters that are particularly advantageous at high frequencies. Two configurations are described that offer substantially different percentage bandwidths. The metallic-film implementation reported here offers the advantage of a single-step lithography, by which the entire filter pattern is fabricated.
